‘Cong facing certain defeat’

Hubballi: Congress gave a visionless and an agenda-less governance for five years in Karnataka and because of which the party will be badly defeated, said BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra here on Thursday.
Patra charged that Rahul Gandhi did not speak about farmers' suicides, the Mahadayi issue and corruption.

“In 2007 Sonia Gandhi assured of solving Mahadayi issue but failed to keep her words and cheated the people of Karnataka,” he said.

Instead of talking about corruption in Congress government in state, Rahul just targeted state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa during his rallies, he added.

“A nervous Rahul Gandhi is also silent on Congress' relationship with SDPI and PFI. He should speak about the involvement of Congress leaders in the case of hoarding fake voter ID cards at a flat at RR Nagar in Bengaluru,” he said.
