Celebrating 50 Years of Animal Heroism

Newest Canadian Inductees Announced at Milestone Purina Animal Hall of Fame Ceremony

TORONTO--()--On Monday, May 14, Purina will be honouring extraordinary acts of intuition, perseverance and loyalty displayed by animals from across Canada at its 50th Annual Purina Animal Hall of Fame awards ceremony in Toronto. Now in its golden year, the revered pet recognition program is Canada’s longest running program of its kind and has recognized the feats of 179 animals since its inception in 1968 – each of whom ultimately saved a human life.

Media are invited to attend this special event which, in honour of the 50th Anniversary will be open to even more guests than ever before. The incredible stories of the 2018 inductees will be shared by some notable pet enthusiasts and television personalities including Jennifer Valentyne, Roz Weston and Frankie Flowers.
