A 25-year-old woman working as a nurse at a corporate hospital here suffered burn injuries when a man threw acid at her today after she spurned his advances, police said today.
The nurse, who hails from Kerala suffered burns on her back and shoulder.
The man, who also hails from Kerala, fled from the spot, police said.
As per preliminary investigation the man had been harassing the nurse for the past eight months, though she had rejected his advances, ACP (Banjara Hills Division) K Srinivasa Rao told PTI.
She has been admitted to the hospital and her condition is stable, the police official said.
