Lockyer Valley property searched in search for missing Brisbane man
Detectives are searching a Lockyer Valley property in relation to the disappearance and suspected murder of Sam Price-Purcell.
Mr Price-Purcell went missing from the Mitchelton area on February 16, 2015, when he was 25-years-old.
Officers were at a Helidon property on Thursday morning searching for possible clues into the Brisbane man’s disappearance.
Mr Price-Purcell was last seen getting into a bright yellow 2010 Holden Commodore SS sedan and was believed to have been travelling to the Toowoomba area, via Helidon.
A police spokesman said the people who live at the Helidon property had recently moved in and had no ties to the investigation.
On the three-year anniversary of his disappearance, his mother made a heartbreaking plea to the public for information on what happened to her “stunning, funny, quirky, sporty, amazing” son.
At the time, police revealed they had a group of people of interest on their radar, with Detective Inspector Damien Hansen warning they had a limited opportunity to come forward.
In March, police received a tip-off about a Leyburn property south-west of Toowoomba where they found a number of firearms.
