The World’s Quickest and Fastest Dodge Demon Sounds Insane
The Hennessey Performance Dodge Demon has turned in a 9.14 @ 152 mph quarter-mile time.
The modified Demon features Hennessey Performance’s HPE1000 upgrade package, which increases performance from the factory’s 840 horsepower to a ridiculous 1,035 hp with 948 pound-feet of torque. The additional power comes from a massive 4.5-liter supercharger system that replaces the factory 2.7-liter system, along with stainless steel long tube headers, a high-flow air induction system, upgraded throttle body, upgraded fuel pump and fuel injectors, and Hennessey’s custom engine management calibration.
From the factory, the Dodge Demon is already one fast drag racing machine, capable of going 9.65 @ 140 mph in the quarter mile. But that hasn’t stopped Hennessey Performance from taking it to new levels. We wouldn’t be surprised if the company manages to squeeze out an eight-second run in the future.
“The 2018 Demon is a street-legal rocket from Dodge, but we wanted to take the car’s impressive track times to an industry leading level,” said president and company founder, John Hennessey. “Over the past several months we have worked to develop a low 9 second drag car that our customers can drive to the track, put on an impressive show with blistering 1/4 mile times, and then drive home in complete comfort.”
