Emily Fiola won 6-4, 6-2 at third singles and Bishop Connolly swept doubles to defeat Westport 3-2 in Mayflower Athletic Conference Comprehensive girls' tennis on Wednesday at the Diane Snyder Courts in Westport.

Sydney Nance/Theresea Rego won 6-1, 6-2 at first doubles and Mikayla Saravo/Brynn Chouinard won 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2.

For Westport, Annie MacMaster upped her season record to 9-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 and Amber Valcourt swept 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2.

 

BOYS

Bishop Connolly 5, Westport 0: At Bishop Connolly High School, Sam DeCosta (6-1, 6-1), Nick Howayeck (2-6, 6-2, 6-2 over Andrew Clayton) and Chris Mulvey (6-3, 6-0) gave the Cougars the singles sweep in this Mayflower Athletic Conference Comprehensive match.

At first doubles, Nate Chhim and Luc Domogala battled past Tyler Holden and Mikyle Couto 6-0, 6-7 (9), 10-7. At No. 2, Clayton McLane and John Rego rolled 6-0, 6-0.
