Trump rejects DMZ as venue for Kim Jong-un summit

U.S. on Wednesday denied (DMZ), the inter-Korean border as the venue for his upcoming meeting with North Korean leader

Trump said the meeting would not be held inside the DMZ dividing the Koreas. He said, the date and location of the meet would be announced within three days, reported.

Earlier it was reported that the much-aniticpated summit is likely to be held in in mid-June.

It has been reported that the summit is most likely to be held in the third week of June after Trump returns from a visit to to take part in the summit from June 8 to 9.

Both leaders are expected to discuss denuclearisation of North apart from other bilateral issues.

This meeting comes after North-South ended their three-decades-old war after signing a peace treaty at the in Panmunjom.
