Jean Lorraine Hill, 83, of Reston, Va., passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018. She was born June 11, 1934, in Clairton, Pa., daughter of the late Frank and Lela (Mills) Donahey. Jean graduated from the Presbyterian University Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a nurse at the former Rochester Hospital. While living in Monaca, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monaca. Through the years, Jean and her husband William lived in Eugene, Ore. (5 years); Westport, Conn. (16 years) and Reston, Va. (30 years). They would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on June 17th. Jean enjoyed the craft of sewing and was a master quilter. Family was most important to Jean as she loved her husband, children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Hill. Jean is survived by her loving husband, William; two daughters, Cynthia Hill, Mattituck, LI, N.Y., and Ann Mason, South Burlington, Vt.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A brief funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 3 p.m., immediately following the visitation. Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
