Tuscarawas County Historical Society President David Hipp will lead free guided tours of the towpath trail near Zoar on May 20.
The tours will include the towpath, canal locks, bridges, abandoned rail lines and the Zoar Dam. In case of inclement weather the tours will be rescheduled.
One tour will begin at 1 p.m., and the second will begin at 3 p.m. Participants can meet at the parking lot of Canal Lands Park at the intersection of Dover-Zoar and Towpath roads.
