Deadly Standoff Ends in Indonesia as Police Storm Terrorist Detention Center

All but 10 inmates had surrendered; holdouts were armed with guns and crude bombs, police said

JAKARTA, Indonesia—A deadly standoff at an Indonesian detention center for terrorist inmates, including Islamic State supporters, ended after 36 hours when police stormed the facility Thursday.

One died in fighting with police early on, and 145 returned to custody one-by-one early Thursday after a police ultimatum to surrender by daybreak.
