Bhopal: Congressmen fast to protest crime against women

Bhopal: Congressmen in the state are holding two days fast to protest against the crime related to women. MP, District Congress Committee (DCC) PC Sharma has kicked off two days long fast on Wednesday to protest against women related crimes. Party spokesperson Vibha Patel and other party men joined the protest. PCC chief Kamal Nath is likely to join fast on Thursday.

MLA Jaivardhan Singh who also joined the protest, expressed his deep concerned over increasing women related crimes in the state. Singh said, “Administration is totally failed in checking out the women related crime. However, state government makes hollow promises for protection of women and girls in the state but it miserably failed in doing so.”

DCC chief PC Sharma raised the issue of suicide case of PWD Minister Rampal Singh’s daughter –in-law Priti Raghuvanshi.  Priti had committed suicide on March 17.  Sharma said, “Madhya Pradesh is no-1 in women related crime. It has exposed the deteriorating law and order in the state. It is shameful for Madhya Pradesh’s BJP government.  Just to protest the women related crime and expose the BJP government, we have observed fast.”

However, police left no stone unturned in nailing the miscreants by parading miscreants in public, dismantling their hideouts. Even MP Human Rights Commission (MPHRC) raised questions on modus operandi putting entire police in dock over parading the miscreants in public in connection with women related crime.
