Esther M. (Eckles) Barrett, 69, of Big Beaver, died with her eyes on the Lord on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Born September 8, 1948, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Rev. James and Elizabeth Scripture Eckles. She had been employed at the Chippewa Kmart and also at McCarter Transit Inc., where she had transported special needs children. She was a member of the Red Hats, past president of the Big Beaver Elementary School P.T.A., and had belonged to various card clubs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Juanita Eckles. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 52 years, Dale H. Barrett; three children and their spouses, Gregory and Colleen Barrett, Lewisburg, West Virginia; Tammie and Harrison Dashio, Beaver Falls, and Michael Barrett, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Alex, Ryan and Alyssa Barrett, Dean Dinell and his wife Casey, Zach Dinell, Hailey Dashio, Sophie and Luke Barrett, and a sister and brother-in-law, Beccy and Lowell Wilks. Friends will be received Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. with her son, Gregory Barrett, officiating. Private interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the 13th Street Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1700, Ashland, KY 41105.
