₹one lakh for the two youths who helped spot Latvian’s body

The family of Latvian woman murdered at Vazhamuttom, near Kovalam, has announced ₹one lakh to the two youths who spotted her body and help the police to nab the accused.

This was communicated to Minister for Tourism Kadampally Surendran by the deceased’s sister Ilze Skromane on Wednesday. Ms. Ilze, who called on the the Minister at his office to thank for the assistance provided by Kerala Tourism, said the family wanted the money to be used for the education of the two youths.

“I will come back to Kerala again. Our family cannot forget the support given by the State government and the Tourism Minister at the time of crisis,” Ms. Ilze said. The Minister presented her books of Kerala Tourism. Mr. Ilze will fly home on Friday.
