Adam Catlin

Aaron Schoemann is an eighteen-year old Wellington High School Senior almost to the end of the road playing for the Crusaders.  His time in Wellington began when he was just three years old, moving with his family from Viola.   He “has an older brother and sister and a younger sister. So including my parents, that’s six of us.”   Already he is looking forward to “going to go play football at Ottawa University and going to major in pre-med.”
He has been playing baseball for close to thirteen years now.  “Playing with my friends and knowing that I need to play to my best ability because I play counts. I have been playing since I was six.”
Looking back at his final Crusader season, he said, “the best game was when we beat Buhler 4-2, and the worst game was when we lost to Wichita Collegiate because we didn't have the right mind set.”
When asked if he will miss playing baseball for the Crusaders, he said, “I will, of all the sports I play the most, because walking out onto the field, or on to the mat, is the best feeling in the world.  Yes, graduating is going to be hard because I have made a lot of friends, and I won't be able to see them that much,  and I will be leaving my family in July.”
When asked what coaches or mentors made the most difference in his time in Wellington, he said he has “had multiple coach's push me to be the best that I could be and they are Nick Wellington, Joe Buresh, Mitch McComb, Zane Aguliar, and Jeff Frazee.”
