Television actress Nitika Mukherjee, who is a part of hit show of Star Plus ‘Ishabaaz’, is pregnant. Nikita plays the role of character Shivaay’s mother in the show. The name of her character is ‘Pinky’. Actor Nakuul Mehta plays the role of ‘Shivaay’ in the show, which is particularly based on the life of three brothers of the Oberoi family.
The actress is also going on a break from the show as she is in her last trimester. While confirming the news to a leading web news portal, she said, “Yes, I am taking a break from the show as I am in my last trimester.” The actress got married in 2006 with Indrajit Mukherjee. The couple is expecting their first child now.
In the show, Nikita’s favourite catchphrase is ‘Oh, my mata!’ Earlier, her character in the show ‘Ishqbaaz’ used to hate one of the lead characters of the show named ‘Anika’ (Surbhi Chandna), who is Shivaay’s wife. But in the current plot, Nikita adores her and tries her best to keep Anika and Shivaay together.
