Amherst Baptist Church is hosting its annual spring carnival on Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will feature activities such as music, drama, dancing and a display to showcase the biblical story of Noah’s Ark.
A petting zoo, games with prizes, raffle baskets for all ages, music and cake walks also will be held. The church’s service on Sunday will be held inside a tent displaying the ark.
“We’ll have ‘Noah’ walking around,” Pastor David Clay said. “I’m sure the kids will really, really enjoy it.”
The petting zoo will feature animals from local owners such as goats, sheep and ducks, he said.
The church is located at 226 Lexington Turnpike in Amherst.
