Halt on govt jobs recruitment process to conitnue till review

The government today said the recruitment process in state departments and autonomous bodies, which has been put on hold since last three months, would continue until the phases of review of the matter is concluded, a said today.

Pranajit Singha Roy, who is also of the state cabinet, however, said the recruitment process initiated on directions of the Supreme Court,the or any other court in the state would not be stopped without obtaining specific orders from concerned authorities.

After assuming office on March 9 last, the new BJP-IPFT government had issued a notification on March 14 which stated that all recruitment process in government departments and autonomous bodies shall be reviewed and pending such review all ongoing recruitment/ selection process in departments / autonomous bodies under the government shall be kept in abeyance with immediate effect.

Roy said the recruitment process would remain stopped and no further decision was taken in this regard.
