Rider dies after electric skateboard collides with car

A man has died in hospital more than a week after his electric skateboard and a car collided on the Gold Coast.

The 33-year-old rider suffered critical head injuries in the crash on the Robina Parkway at Merrimac about 10.30pm on April 30.

Police said he died in the Gold Coast University Hospital on Tuesday.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
