Tremors were felt across north India on Tuesday afternoon after an earthquake struck Afghanistan and Pakistan. The earthquake struck at a depth of 38 kilometre and its epicenter was Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan, as per Pakistan Meteorological Department. The U.S. Geological Survey put the magnitude at 5.1.

The quake shook buildings in Afghan capital Kabul but there no immediate word about damage or casualties. The tremors were felt in Delhi and adjoining areas, Chandigarh, parts of Punjab and the Kashmir valley, the Indian Meteorological Department said.
