Wayne Rooney: Everton to DC United

Everton striker Wayne Rooney is in “serious talks” over a summer transfer to Major League Soccer (MLS) side DC United.

England’s record goalscorer returned to his boyhood club Everton from Manchester United last year, but according to The Washington Post discussions between his agent and the MLS franchise have “accelerated” in recent weeks.

The 32-year-old has one year left on his Everton contract and Toffees boss Sam Allardyce wants him to stay at Goodison Park. However, Allardyce told the Liverpool Echo that only a “massive” offer from MLS or China could see him leave Merseyside.

Toure to stay in the Premier League

Another veteran star who looks set for a transfer this summer is Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure. The 34-year-old’s City career comes to an end this season and it’s reported that he wants to stay in the Premier League. Everton, Burnley and Wolves have all been linked with the Ivory Coast international. (Daily Mirror)

Paul Pogba: Manchester United to PSG

According to reports Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has offered the Manchester United midfielder to Paris Saint-Germain. Pogba was offered to Real Madrid and Manchester City in January, but if the French international does leave Old Trafford then Paris looks his most likely destination. (Metro)

Riyad Mahrez: Leicester City to Manchester City

Premier League champions City will “revive” their interest in Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez this summer. The Algerian nearly joined the Etihad club in January but the move fell through. Mahrez is not the only City target as Pep Guardiola’s side are also keen on Monaco’s Thomas Lemar. (The Times)

No Juve bid yet for Morata

It was claimed yesterday that Juventus are keen on signing Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, but according to reports today the Italian side have yet to submit an official bid. The Spaniard played for Juve from 2014 to 2016 and cost Chelsea a record £60m when they signed him from Real Madrid last year. (Goal.com)

Barca ‘desperate’ to retain United target Umtiti

Barcelona are hoping defender Samuel Umtiti signs a new long-term contract to “thwart off” interest from Manchester United. The French international, 24, reportedly has a £52m release clause in his Barcelona deal. (The Sun)

Craig Dawson: West Brom to Newcastle/Celtic

After West Brom’s relegation was confirmed last night a player exodus looks on the cards at The Hawthorns. Defender Craig Dawson, who is rated at £15m, has been linked with a move to Newcastle or Celtic. (Daily Mail)
