Light rain lashes several parts of Delhi

Delhiites witnessed a pleasant evening today after light lashed several parts of the city along with gusty winds at 35/36 km per hour, the said.

The Safdarjung observatory, recording of which is considered the official figure for the city, received 0.8 mm rainfall while areas under Palam and Ridge recorded 3.2 mm and 1.6 mm respectively.

The maximum temperature settled at 35.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average while the minimum was recorded at 22.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the normal.

The humidity oscillated between 71 and 35 per cent.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 38 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum stood at 22 degrees Celsius.
