London's iconic today unveiled a waxwork figure of Meghan Markle, ahead of the May 19 royal wedding for which the excitement is reaching "fever pitch".

"Excitement ahead of the royal wedding is reaching fever pitch and we have been inundated with questions about when people can finally meet 'Their Royal Likenesses'," said Edward Fuller, at

"There is a lot of love out there for Meghan and and we're following their lead by inviting the great British public to join the couple in their wedding celebrations here at London," he said.

Markle's figure, wearing a replica of her engagement ring designed by her fiance, is dressed in the emerald green sold-out PAROSH dress that she wore for the announcement of the engagement last year and beige heels.

The 36-year-old joins a re-styled figure of her groom Harry, the sixth in line to the British throne. Harry's figure was originally created to mark his 30th birthday in 2014 and has been updated for the special occasion, most notably adding the beard that the royal now sports.

"With royal wedding fever extending across the Atlantic, Madame Tussauds London's sister attraction in will also reveal its own Meghan figure... Marking the first time a US citizen will join the British Royal Family in 80 years," a statement from the world-famous wax museum said.

In London, the newest will be placed in front of a 15-foot-wide video wall that would allow guests to choose how they would like to pose with them.

Visitors would be able to select from a range of backdrops and props to capture a moment with the young Royals from the cutting of the cake at their wedding to relaxing on a private beach.

The museum is holding a special "stag and hen do" event on May 18, the eve of the royal wedding, at which over-18s would be able to take photographs with and Meghan's wax figures. It also plans to offer free entry to guests named Meghan or on the day of the royal wedding.

To celebrate the upcoming nuptials, Legoland's resort has also created a 39,960 Lego brick Castle. The mini-brick castle took a team of eight model-makers 592 hours to complete, Legoland said.

It will house a 10-cm tall, 60-brick in her wedding dress and veil alongside Harry.
