RAJKOT: Several posters flaying Savarkundla Congress MLA Pratap Dudhat surfaced in Zinzuda village alleging that he has done precious little for peoples’ welfare after they elected him in December 2017 polls.

The posters read: “There is neither drinking water, nor road or drainage in our village. This plight has often been highlighted in the media. We were hoping that you would visit our village by reading the news but recently we came to know that you are enjoying in a foreign country.”

Sources said that Dudhat is currently on a holiday with his family in a foreign country. Dudhat had defeated BJP candidate Kamlesh Kanani in the polls.

Bhana Patel, a villager said, “Most of the times, Dudhat lives in Surat and we don’t have any contact to represent our issues. He doesn’t have any office or a local representative. We haven’t seen him after the election.”

Another villager Zina Patel said, “We regret electing him. The former BJP MLA used to at least listen to our problems.” People also complain that their phone to Dudhat often goes unanswered. Dudhat who is on a foreign trip termed this a BJP conspiracy.
