UP BJP MP’s ‘letter’ to CM alleges corruption

A letter from a UP BJP MP Harinarayan Rajbhar accusing state’s basic education minister and top department officials of committing irregularities surfaced on the social media on Tuesday.

In the letter, marked to chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the BJP MP from Ghosi alleged corruption in the state’s education department and even accused the minister of favouring those close to her in award of tenders of shoes and socks for children enrolled with government schools.

The authenticity of the letter dated May 8 circulating on social media couldn’t be confirmed.

All phone calls made to Rajbhar in connection with the corruption allegation made on his official letterhead went either unanswered or were taken by his aides who said the MP was ‘busy’.

One of his aides requesting anonymity said the MP’s letterhead was misused but wasn’t sure if the MP would make a police complaint about misuse of the same.
