Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar are widely acknowledged as the best players in European football, and this season has reinforced that opinion further.

The trio have eclipsed all other rivals across the five main European leagues in 2017/18, based on average WhoScored.com match ratings.

However, recent displays have seen Barcelona forward Luis Suarez shoot up the rankings – even displaying Liverpool hero Mohamed Salah.
