NEW DELHI: Over 45 stocks including Alok Industries, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries, Marksans Pharma, Suzlon Energy, TV Vision and Vakrangee hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE during Tuesday's trade even as broader markets were reflecting positive temperament.

Indian equity markets were trading in the green amid firm global cues.

Equity benchmark Sensex advanced on buying by domestic institutional investors amid positive leads from Asian markets following overnight gains on the Wall Street.

However, concern over falling rupee, surging crude oil prices and uninspiring earnings capped the gains.

Select bank, pharma, FMCG and financial counters were seeing buying interest, but IT, metal and auto stocks were under pressure.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 19 points up at 10,735, while the BSE Sensex was up 84 points at 35,292 around 10:55 am (IST).

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of ICICI Bank surged over 6 per cent, leading the pack of Nifty gainers.

As per Reuters, shares of ICICI Bank rose on hopes of improvement in asset quality. Jefferies, CLSA and Kotak Institutional Equities keep rating at "buy" even after the lender reported its Q4 net profit halved as bad loans surged, Reuters added.
