PSPCL gives appointment letters

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is illuminating the premises of more than 92 lakhs consumers in Punjab and also providing  jobs to the youth of State, former minister Preneet Kaur said while addressing a function here.

PSPCL has started to issue appointment letters to contractor workers which were rendered surplus from GNDTP, Bathinda. 

Referring to the 635 contractor workers which were  rendered surplus from Bathinda Thermal, Kaur said that this is the second function which was organised to hand over the appointment letters to remaining surplus contactor workers of thermal plant.

Gurpreet Singh Kangar  Minister for  Power, New & Renewable Energy Sources Punjab said that  PSPCL has speeded up  the process to issue appointment letters to  2800 of Assistant Linemen, 300 JE’s, 248 SSA’s and 330 LDCs in near future. Power Minister hoped that eligible candidates would get appointment letters soon.

Kangar  said under policy for release of tubewell connections approved by the Punjab Government, PSPCL will release about 50000 tubewell connections during this financial year.

Power Minister said that PSPCL has made elaborate arrangements for 8 hours power supply to agricultural consumers during the coming paddy season in the state.

He said special zonal level control rooms would be set up for the redressal of complaints of consumers in the state.

Madan lal Jalalpur MLA Ghanaur,  RP Pandove Director Administration, OP Garg Director Commercial,  Jatinder Goyal Director Finance and other senior officers and employees were  present on the occasion.
