A Hiawatha man has been charged with three counts of child endangerment based on allegations he was intoxicated while driving with three kids in the car Monday.
Paul F. Lee, 28, was charged Tuesday with drunken driving, third offense, after police spotted his vehicle weaving in traffic on North Center Point Road in Hiawatha Monday. Lee’s blood alcohol concentration was .138, above the legal limit of .08, and he “showed several signs of insobriety,” police reported.
There were three young children in the back seat of Lee’s vehicle at the time of his arrest, court records state.
Lee was convicted of drunken driving in Johnson County in 2009 and 2011, court records state.
