Shocking moment man hangs out of car window as Britain boils in Bank Holiday heatwave
AS temperatures soared over the bank holiday weekend, a shocking clip has shown one Kent car passenger opting for a novel – and extremely dangerous – way to keep cool, by hanging out of the window of a car on the M20 motorway.
Morning, just wanted to check that this isn’t considered normal behaviour while driving down a motorway?
The footage shows the man sitting within his torso out of the blue Audi near junction three of the busy road.
One witness said the car was travelling at 50mph.
A photograph shared with Kent Police by Twitter user @LiamRyan87, who asked: "Morning, just wanted to check that this isn’t considered normal behaviour while driving down a motorway?"
The clip was published on kentonline.co.uk, prompting plenty of comments from stunned readers.

“They seem to fry their brains and go mad on the alcohol.
“No wonder we have such a bad reputation abroad
“It’s really embarrassing and I try to avoid my fellow compatriots abroad.”

Last month a cyclist hit the headlines after being filmed holding on to a car to “hitch a lift” up a hill in Manchester at 30mph.
The pedestrian who caught the incident on camera said: “The car stopped unexpectedly, causing a bit of a hold up, then picked the bike back up again.
“When I went past I said ‘what are you doing?’
“I got a nasty response from the woman driving the car. I thought I’d put it up online.
It’s pretty reckless. They showed complete disregard for anyone else.”
Speaking about the most recent incident, a Kent Police spokesman said: “On Monday, 7 May 2018 Kent Police was made aware of a photo circulating on social media of a car and passenger on the M20.
“Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine whether any offences have been committed.”
