Vladimir Putin sworn in as Russia's President

Russian was sworn-in for his fourth presidential term in a ceremony held at Kremlin here on Monday.

"Our goal is for people, something that should become a country of opportunities for everyone's self-realization", quoted Putin as saying.

He stressed that his is dedicated to developing the areas which had been weak in the past.

Putin further pledged to provide a peaceful future to as he said, "I believe that guaranteeing Russia's peaceful and prosperous future is my obligation and meaning of life."

He said all the sectors of the economy need to be developed and it could be ensured only in a democratic society.

Putin called for a breakthrough in all the spheres as he said, "I am deeply convinced that such a breakthrough can only be provided by a free society that perceives everything new and advanced, rejecting injustice, stagnation and bureaucratic deadness."
