Sudan: Committee for Control On Exchange Rate Calls for Providing Basic Commodities in Ramadan

Khartoum — The meeting of the committee for organizing the exchange rate, chaired by the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has given a directive for providing and easing the flow of the basic commodities during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Minister of Trade, Hatim Al-Sir, said that the meeting has called for easing and simplifying the procedure for providing commodities in Ramadan month, adding that the meeting has stressed the importance of commitment to the prices and to coordinate with the states for monitoring the markets.

The minister has affirmed existence of abundant reserve of the basic goods which is enough to cover the need for Ramadan month.

Al-Sir pointed out that the committee has underscored the importance of increasing the production and the exports.
