While Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Sunday left for his 10-day Israel and United Kingdom tour, the Opposition parties have stepped up its ante against the BJP Government over various issues.

The Opposition has also demanded an explanation from the Chief Minister and white paper from his government on the investments brought to Haryana during his foreign tours.

During his fifth foreign visit, the Chief Minister is leading a high level delegation to Israel from May 6 to 8 and UK from May 9 to 13.

Raising questions on the foreign visit of CM, Haryana CLP leader Kiran Chaudhry on Monday said that  the State Government should release a white paper on the investments brought through the foreign tours of Manohar Lal.

Lashing out at the BJP led State Government for wasteful expenditure, Rajya Sabha MP Kumari Selja said that the foreign visits undertaken by the Chief Minister has not benefited Haryana at all.

Congress MP Karan Singh Dalal has alleged that the CM is busy spending crores of rupees in foreign excursions while people in Haryana are suffering under BJP’s misrule.

On the other hand, INLD Haryana president Ashok Arora has also criticized the Chief Minister and his cabinet for undertaking foreign tours. Such foreign tours are held for the purpose of sightseeing and leads to the wastage of crores of public money, said he.

Haryana AAP head, Naveen Jaihind has said that nothing will come out of such foreign tours, however, the government is still busy squandering public money on sightseeing trips abroad.

Manohar Lal had in the past undertaken four foreign tours to different nations.

Manohar Lal, who assumed power in October 2014, went for his first tour abroad to the US and Canada in August 2015 and in January 2016, he went to Japan and China to attract investments for the state.
