Panasonic India, a technology and innovation firm, announced the appointment of Manish Misra as the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of its India business.
In his new role, Misra will be reporting to Manish Sharma, President and CEO, Panasonic India.
Panasonic's innovation hub -The Centre of Excellence (Coe), launched last year, aims to develop the company's transformative solutions in five key domains - connected home/ community, mobility, energy, industrial and finance solutions which, in turn, will develop state-of-the-art products.
Misra's role will be not only to leverage the technology already available within Panasonic and develop innovative solutions, he will also drive a technology-enabled strategy with specific focus on emerging trends to bring in technological advancements that will enable Panasonic to stay ahead in the industry.
Prior to his appointment, Manish Misra was associated with HID Global as its India R&D Head and Vice President of Engineering and Innovation. He also enabled HID Global's next-generation product offerings in cloud, mobile and IoT space.
