2.45 IST: Here is a look inside Sonam Kapoor’s wedding. From the video of brothers Arjun, Harshvardhan welcoming the bride to a candid photo of Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan at the ceremony, the guests posted them all.

2.30 IST: Photos of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja from the wedding are out now and they are as dreamy as we thought.

2.15 IST: Rhea Kapoor confirmed that Sonam’s wedding is over as she shared the new name of the bride: Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja. She shared a beautiful photo with Sonam Kapoor and wrote, “Forever and ever. Sister love is the truest love I know. Me and Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja.” While Sonam looked resplendent in bridal finery, Rhea wore a fuchsia suit with mirror work. The wedding was solemnised at the bungalow of Sonam’s aunt, Rockdale.

2 IST: Guests start leaving the Sonam Kapoor wedding -- Amitabh Bachchan was seen saying his goodbyes as did Kareena and Saif. Janhavi and Khushi Kapoor also left soon after.

1.40 IST: As Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja wedding is being solemnised, more guests arrived at the venue. While Aamir Khan was there with wife Kiran Rao and son Junaid, Ranveer Singh also walked in. Ranveer wore a white kurta with a waistcoat, Aamir chose a grey kurta with jeans. The actor is still sporting his Thugs of Hindostan look.

1.20 IST: Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya was seen at the wedding venue with her younger brother. Sonam and Anand’s wedding rituals have begun and photos of celebs, with their heads covered, are emerging on social media.

1 IST: Sonam Kapoor reaches for the Anand Karaj, accompanied by her brothers including Arjun and Harshvardhan Kapoor. An inside video shows the smiling bride as she heads to the altar. Photos and moments from the wedding venue are appearing on social media. The venue has been decked up with white flowers and guests were also seen wearing turbans.

Rani Mukerji also reached the wedding venue wearing an ornate lehenga.

12.45 IST: As Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja get ready to say their vows, here’s looking at the happy groom. Dressed in a bandhgala, with the traditional turban on his head and a sword in his hand, he was seen surrounded by his friends. Sonam’s close friend Masaba Gupta also reached her wedding venue. Accompanied by husband Madhu Mantena, Masaba was seen in a neon pink and sea green sari. She had penned a note for Sonam on Monday, calling her the most compassionate woman.

12.30 IST: The other Kapoor family on Bollywood is also well represented at this wedding. Sonam Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding co-star, Kareena Kapoor Khan, reached her shaadi venue with husband Saif Ali Khan, sister Kareena Kapoor and media’s darling, son Taimur Ali Khan. Taimur and Saif were twinning in pink kurtas while Kareena chose an elaborate pink lehenga. Don’t miss Kareena’s look for the afternoon do too. It is sunny out there in Mumbai and Taimur seems to be feeling the heat.

12.15 IST: Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor reach the wedding venue of Sonam and Anand, accompanied by father Boney Kapoor. Late actor Sridevi’s daughters chose pastel colours for the afternoon wedding and nailed it. While Janhvi chose a pink and turquoise lehenga, Khushi was dressed in sunshine yellow. She chose a simple bun but Janhvi’s elaborate hairdo has our complete attention.

12 IST: Sonam Kapoor is the glowing bride as she reaches the venue. Dressed in traditional red with jewellery adding to the allure, she posed for the cameras. Groom Anand Ahuja is already at the venue and has chosen a light brown bandhgala for the occasion. Karan Johar was seen earlier reaching the venue as well.

11.45 IST: Amitabh Bachchan arrived at the venue with son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda. Others who were seen arriving before the bride were uncle Sanjay Kapoor with wife Maheep, Sonam’s Veere Di Wedding co-star Swara Bhasker. She was at Sonam’s side during the mehendi ceremony on Monday as well. Swara chose a colourful lehenga for the occasion.

11.30 IST: Anand Ahuja looks like a handsome groom with the traditional turban and Indian ensemble. Grandson of Harish Ahuja, a prominent businessman in Delhi, Anand is the managing director of Shahi Exports and owns wardrobe label Bhane. He also owns sneaker brand VegNonVeg. The businessman divides his time between Delhi, London and Mumbai.

11.15 IST: Sonam Kapoor left her residence for the wedding venue in a car with black cloth covering the windows. Sonam’s bridal look is being guarded and we can’t wait to see how she looks. Father Anil Kapoor is already at the venue, the bungalow of Sonam’s aunt, dressed in an ivory bandhgala and an emerald necklace.

Sonam Kapoor’s wedding, which will take place according to Sikh rituals, will be solemnized this afternoon. The wedding festivities will end with a party in the evening at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. The wedding invites, instead of an ostentatious invitation card, was a beautifully designed e-card that said, “Your presence on our special day is the only gift we desire.” The dress code for today is Indian traditional and mentions no colour, unlike the Monday mehendi ceremony. In the evening, expect guests to arrive in either Indian or Western Formal.

Sonam is then expected to focus on her Cannes appearance as she walks the red carpet at the prestigious film festival for the eighth time. She will be seen at Cannes on May 14 and 15, representing make-up major Cannes. She also has to promote her film with Kareena Kapoor, Veere Di Wedding. Sonam and Anand have postponed their honeymoon keeping her schedule in mind.

Earlier this month, Sonam and Anand confirmed their wedding, ending months of speculation. Both the Ahuja and the Kapoor families released a joint statement, saying: “The Kapoor and Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
