Mentha oil gains by 3.13% on spot demand

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in May was higher by Rs 42.30, or 3.13 per cent, to Rs 1,394.60 per kg, clocking a business volume of 395 lots.

The for June delivery was trading higher by Rs 12.30, or 1.01 per cent to Rs 1,227 per kg, with a trading volume of 230 lots.

Marketmen said raising of bets by speculators, driven by surging demand from consuming industries at the spot market against restricted supplies from Chandausi, led to the rise in in futures trade.
