Australian Federal Police employee charged with child grooming

An Australian Federal Police employee has been charged with child grooming.

The 49-year-old man was arrested on Monday, and will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Acting ACT chief police officer Mark Walters said ACT Policing and the Australian Federal Police took any allegations of misconduct seriously, especially when the allegations related to vulnerable people.

He declined to comment further, given the matter was now before the courts.
