National Tribal University

Ranchi: CM Raghubar Das met today the Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Professor TV Kattimani. During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that National Tribal University which will be a Central University in Jharkhand will be opened soon. For this, initiative is being taken by the Government of India. The Vice Chancellor of the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Amarkantak Madhya Pradesh said that he would give all possible help. The CM said that along with teaching on tribal subjects and their cultural traditions, there will be tribal tourism, sports, and nursing studies.

Social reformers remembered

Ranchi: A programme on 'social reformers' was showcased by the students of class IV of DPS Ranchi.  The programme began with a heart touching poem “Betiyaan". The impact of evil social customs and practices like female infanticide, child marriage, untouchability, sati system were prevalent  in India  in the 19th century  was presented  through a beautiful skit. Children portrayed the character of Mahatma Gandhi, B. R.  Ambedkar, Baba Amte, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Swami Vivekananda etc.  and presented their remarkable contributions towards the eradication of evil customs and practices from the Indian society.

SBPS shines in Yoga Championship

Ranchi: Students of SBPS showed their remarkable performances and brought laurels for the school by participating in '22nd All India Inter-School and Club Yoga Championship 2018' held on 28th and 29th of April 2018, under the banner of Ranchi Yoga Culture at Yogda Satsanga Society of India, Ranchi. Malay Dwivedi of Std. I secured 1st position in Group A (Boys). Kritika Gupta of Std. VIII secured the 8th position in Group D (Girls). Risha Roy Lal of Std. IV secured the 9th position in Group C (Girls) followed by Anushka of Std. VIII in 9th position in Group D (Girls).
