A man dies as wall collapses

A 45-year-old man was killed after a portion of a wall fell on him at Chhatabad Ward No. 5 under Katrash police station on Sunday evening.

Md. Asraf was a resident of Chhatabad Ward No. 2. When he was on his way to home rain and thunderstorm began, Ashraf took a shelter under the wall to protect him.

Suddenly the wall collapsed and he was buried alive, police said.

The wall which was collapsed belongs to BCCL. Soon after the incident, MLA Dhullu Mahato along with his men rushed on the spot.

He assured for help in providing Rs 4 lakhs compensation to the deceased families under natural calamity.

“I will also ask the official to provide job to the next kin of the deceased,” he added assuring for all shorts of help from his own end.
