Carpenter seeks House seat

Will Carpenter, 61, former House  Representative for District 75, local small business owner, and former County Commissioner for Butler County has announced filing for seat 75 in the Kansas House.
Carpenter; a Republican, previously served as the Chair of the Social Services Budget Committee and was a member of the Appropriations and Commerce committees.  Additionally he had been appointed to two joint committees – The State Building Construction Committee and the Robert T. Bethell Joint Committee on Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and KANCARE Oversite.
He previously served the County as commissioner for 8 years, Regional Economic Area Partnership (REAP) executive board and served as chairman for a time. Carpenter has also served on USD 375 School Board, Wildlife and Parks Commission, Rural Life Task Force and numerous volunteer boards such as American Red Cross and numerous hunting and conservation boards in addition to the Governors One Shot Turkey Hunt.

I have no agenda except to do the best job I can and I believe the experience and positive working relationships I have developed will allow me to be a strong voice for the people of District 75.  I hope to once again bring the voice of the people from this area to Topeka.”
