Sonam Kapoor Wedding Reception
Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja's wedding reception at The Leela, Mumbai has kick-started in style. While a bevy of Bollywood celebrities have arrived, many are yet to come. Among those who have been spotted are Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Kangana Ranaut, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Kirron Kher, Karan Johar among others. Manish Malhotra, Kareena Kapoor, Kajol, Sidharth Malhotra have also arrived to wish the lovely couple a lot of happiness and luck.
Inside pictures and videos of the wedding reception have started hitting the internet. Sonam and Anand began the reception party by cutting a huge cake. Performances have begun with Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor grooving to Tune Maari Entriyan from Gunday. Anil Kapoor also gave a solo performance on iconic song My Name Is Lakhan. Karan Johar performed on Saajan Ji Ghar Aaye while the entire Kapoor Khandaan sets the stage on fire with their performance on Galla Goodiyan. They were joined by the newlyweds Sonam and Anand. Sonam and Anand tied the knot on May 8 as per Sikh rituals at Sonam's aunt Kavita Singh's bungalow in Mumbai. The wedding was conducted by Mumbai's Khar west Gurudwara's Meherban Singh. Sonam's wedding venue was decorated with flowers from Holland and Sweden. Post-wedding, there was a cake cutting ceremony. The newlyweds began the new phase of their life by cutting a quirky cake. The top decoration of the chocolate cake had a bride dragging the groom by his collar. The inside pictures and videos of the intimate affair have already gone viral on social media.
There was also a sweet gesture from the Kapoor family that won everyone's heart. After the marriage, Anil Kapoor's family handed out mithai boxes to media persons who camped at the wedding venue all day long. The mithai boxes also had a thanking note along with it. The note read,'' The Kapoor & Ahuja family would like to thank you for the constant support and love you have shown us through this special time. We truly appreciate it''. Anil Kapoor's son and Mirzya actor Harshvardhan Kapoor gave the boxes to media persons.
Within a week after her wedding, Sonam will head to Cannes, where she will walk the red carpet as L'Oréal Paris brand ambassador. Sonam will next be seen in Shashanka Ghosh's Veere Di Wedding, which will release on June 1.
