Former DeLand High golfer Bill Anderson was among the four players who advanced through Monday’s local qualifying at LPGA International to a regional qualifier for the 2018 U.S. Open.
Anderson, who also played at the University of Florida, tied for second with a 3-under 69 and advances to one of 10 regional qualifiers on June 4.
A current Florida Gator, junior Gordon Neale, was Monday’s medalist with a 68. Joining Anderson in the tie for second were Jacksonville’s Jeff Dennis and teenager Joseph Pagdin of Lake Nona High.
