Aluminium futures up 0.66% on rising demand

prices rose further by 0.66 per cent to Rs 159.90 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in building up positions, tracking a firm trend at the spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in far-month June was trading higher by Rs 1.05, or 0.66 per cent to Rs 159.90 per kg in business turnover of 14 lots.

On similar lines, the for delivery in May edged up by 55 paise, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 159.90 per kg in 816 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by participants on the back of surging demand from industries in the physical market mainly kept prices higher at futures trade.
