Body of youth recovered from lake

Divers on Monday recovered the body of a youth from Vembanad Lake near Pallippuram here. The police identified him as Manu, 28, of Karukaveli house, Pallippuram.

Three rescued

He drowned after a fibre boat capsized in the lake on Sunday.

Manu, along with his friends, was returning home after fishing when the accident occurred.

Three others were rescued by local fishermen, the police said.

His body was shifted to Cherthala taluk hospital for post-mortem examination.
