IS claims assassination of Iraq election candidate

The Islamic State jihadist group claimed responsibility for the assassination today of a candidate in Iraq's just days ahead of the polls.

In a statement on the messaging app Telegram, the jihadist group said Juburi was killed because he was "an atheist".
