The Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St., is seeking submissions for the third volume of its literary magazine “Tapestries of Tuscarawas County.”

The magazine encompasses life in Tuscarawas County and hopes to preserve the culture of the county as a part of the library’s historical initiative. The magazine is open to submissions from anyone in the county including stories, art, and photography capturing what it is like to live in this community.

Citizens are asked to send in their memories of life in Tuscarawas County with the chance of winning a cash prize. The library is offering a first-place prize of $100 and a second-place prize of $50 to the two most appealing stories or art. The deadline to make submissions is Sept. 1.

A release ceremony will be held at the library in the fall to celebrate the magazine, and contributors will be given a free copy of the book and the opportunity to read excerpts from their work. Copies will be available to the public at the Dover Public Library and other local libraries and historical societies.

For registration forms and submission guidelines, call 330-343-6123, email director@doverlibrary.org, visit doverlibrary.org or visit the library in person.
