The art of falconry

Lawrence FormosaLawrence Formosa

As part of its Magic Box sessions, the Italian Cultural Institute is hosting Lawrence Formosa, a falcon enthusiast and educator, who will give a talk on local fowl and the history of falconry as a sport.

In 2008, Mr Formosa founded the Fridericus Rex Malta Falconers, which forms part of the International Association for Falconry and Conservation of birds of prey (IAF). Formosa has trained many birds, which often participate in demonstrations and educational activities.

The event will be taking place tomorrow at 6.30 pm, at the Italian Cultural Institute, St George’s Square, Valletta. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is invited and entrance is free.
