Scotland Yard said officers were called to Buckingham Avenue, Perivale, just after 9pm on Sunday.

The male victim was rushed to hospital but is in a stable condition.

It is believed the victim was stabbed after a dispute over a man's driving down a residential street.

Officers believe the suspect, who was driving a blue car, was being questioned about the nature of his driving before stabbing the victim and driving away.

No arrests have been made.

The latest incident follows four other people that have been shot over the bank holiday.

A 22-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds on New Cross Road at 6.26pm last night.

He was rushed to hospital by ambulance - police stated that his condition was not thought to be life threatening.

The horrifying event came hours after two youngsters aged 13 and 15 were found suffering from gunshot within minutes of each other in Wealdstone, north west London.

The youngest had suffered a shotgun pellet wound to the head.

Both boys suffered head injuries but neither is thought to be in a life-threatening condition.

A shopkeeper said the youngster was "lucky to be alive" and they believe a bullet grazed the back of his head.

On Saturday a 17-year-old was shot dead in broad daylight on a street in Kennington, south London.

The victim, who was named by his mother as Rhyhiem Ainsworth Barton, was found with gunshot injuries near Warham Street.

Rhyhiem's mother, Pretana Morgan, told reporters near her home in the Brandon Estate: "I couldn't have asked for a better son.

"My son was a very handsome boy. He's got so much potential."
