24x7 water helpline app launched by MCK

WhatsApp messages can be sent to the app for redress

The Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar (MCK) has launched the round-the-clock helpline to handle water supply distribution-related complaints and pilferage of the water by fixing motor pumps and denying water supply to other citizens in Karimnagar town.

Mayor S. Ravinder Singh along with Municipal Commissioner K. Shashanka on Monday formally launched the 24x7 water helpline by opening a mobile app with a cellular phone. The mayor, municipal commissioner, engineers and all others associated with the drinking water supply of the MCK were involved in the mobile app.

The residents can send the whats app messages to the mobile app for instant redressal pertaining to no water supply, low water supply, leakages etc. The people can also lodge complaints pertaining to unauthorised withdrawal of water through motor pumps.

Instant action

The Mayor said that the municipal officials would act instantly for the drinking water problems and restore water supply and check leakages on war-footing after receiving message through mobile app. He also asked people to alert officials about the pilferage of water by using motor pumps to ensure water supply to all the people in the town.
