Cops focus on crime against women

RANCHI: Police on Sunday issued a series of instructions to curb crime, focussing on assault on women, loot, dacoity, kidnapping and other armed offences in the city.
City SP Aman issued the order in a meeting of police officers and jawans.

"We have to strengthen the Shakti commando responsible for protection of women to provide security to them. The officers in- charge of police stations have been asked to scrutinize the performance of this unit more intensively in future," he said.

He informed that 37 points have been identified within Ranchi and 29 outside for sealing whenever a crime takes place.
