Larry W. Goertz

Larry W. Goertz passed away on May 6, 2018

Larry’s life began on Jan. 21, 1950 in Los Angeles, Calif.  He is the son of William and Nadine (Postier) Goertz.  Larry was united in marriage to the former Diane Mingle on Aug. 21, 1971 in Hutchison.  He worked for Triple A Building Supply in El Dorado and then Beech Aircraft as a truck driver until his health declined.  Larry worked for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ nearly his entire life.   He was a faithful member of the First Southern Baptist Church in El Dorado.  Larry was part of the worship team, playing guitar and the unofficial “greeter” at the church.  He was always welcoming and helpful to all he encountered.  
Larry’s loving family includes: his wife Diane of El Dorado; son, Matthew (Becky) Goertz of South Dakota, and daughter, Robin Donnelley of El Dorado; grandchildren, Dorian Goertz, Elizabeth Castor, Jayden Herrman, Dakota Donnelley, Austin Donnelley and Haylie Ross; and great grandchildren, Brayden Castor, Finley Golden and Hunter Huffman.  
Larry passed away on Sunday May 6, 2018 at Lakepoint in El Dorado.  
He was preceded in death by his parents;  grandson, Brayden Goertz; and brother, Jim Goertz.
 His family will gather with friends at 2 p.m.  on Saturday, at the First Southern Baptist Church for his celebration of life.
